Sam Darnold’s status for game vs. Eagles still...

The Philadelphia Eagles will look to go one game above .500 on Sunday when the Birds host the winless New York Jets at Lincoln Financial Field. Coming off a bye, the Jets were hoping to have the services of star quarterback Sam Darnold, who has missed the past few weeks with mononucleosis.

While meeting with the media on Monday, Adam Gase made it sound as if Darnold’s status for Sunday is still up in the air, if not doubtful.

Darnold just started being active again, has not been cleared to lift weights, and just received the go-ahead from the training staff, to participate in non-contact practices. If Darnold can’t go, the Eagles will face backup quarterback, Luke Faulk.

During the Jets 30-14 week three loss to the Patriots, Falk went 12-22, for 98 yards and one interception.
