Bet MGM are riding the Daniel Jones wave, listing the New York Giants as an early three-point favorites this week over the visiting Washington Redskins.
It is a rare day in this era of Giants’ football as Big Blue was favored only three times in 2018 and were not favored in any of their first three games this season.
The over/under opened at 47.5 points.
Both teams are averaging 21 points per game on offense. The Giants are 7th in the NFL in total offense, while the Redskins are 22nd. On defense, the Giants are 31st. The Redskins aren’t much better at No. 26.
New York will be starting Jones, the 6th pick in this year’s NFL Draft who threw for 336 yards and was responsible for four touchdowns in his NFL debut last Sunday in Tampa, at quarterback again.
Washington head coach Jay Gruden told reporters after the Redskins’ 31-15 loss to Chicago Monday night that he is sticking with journeyman Case Keenum at quarterback and said he’s not ready to turn to the draft’s No. 15 pick, Dwayne Haskins.
